S2E8: "Chapter 16: The Rescue"Review by Dan Skip Allen Well, it has all come down to this. The season has been one of stand-alone episodes each featuring some new characters and some old characters from season one. Din Djarin's mission at the end of Season One was to get the child, known now as Grogu, to the Jedi Knights. The entire season has culminated in this final standoff with Moff Gideon and his dark troopers. And that's what showrunner Jon Favreau and director Peyton Reed have given us: a glorious final episode to Season Two of The Mandalorian. With the help of Boba Fett, Cara Dune, and some others, Din Djarin makes his attempt to rescue Grogu, as the title of the episode suggests. A shadow play where everybody goes looking for Gideon and Djarin breaks off and goes looking for Grogu is basically what the episode consists of. A lot of blaster fire and stand-offs transpire after this. It was going to be hard to live up to the hype of season one of the show, but Peyton Reed and company did just that with this final episode and the previous seven. Even though this season was designed differently from season one, it had a lot of jaw-dropping moments. This episode had the biggest, which culminated in a satisfying conclusion to Season Two. This season was fantastic in so many ways! The action, set design, writing, and overall direction of the show and season were terrific. Favreau, Disney, and Lucasfilm should be proud of what they have accomplished with this show, the first live-action series, which is incredible. The fan excitement was at a fervor for some good star wars material and this show and season were an answer for that. "The Rescue "was the perfect episode to end the season. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. Rating: 5/5 S2E7: "Chapter 15: The Believer"Review by Dan Skip Allen The second season of The Mandalorian is getting closer and closer to its end. Grogu was kidnapped by Moff Gideon and Din Djarin had to get some help from Cara Dune, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand to rescue him. To breach Moff Gideon's ship, Din Djarin needs the help of one more person. The most unlikely person to show up in an episode of The Mandalorian was comedian Bill Burr, who played Mayfeld in an episode in Season One. Well, he's back because he's the only person Mando knows who has access to the Empire's security codes. Even he was surprised when Mando and the crew showed up to get him out of prison. Bill Burr brings his unique brand of humor to the role, although he is a bit annoying. "The Believer" was directed by Rick Famuyiwa, who directed an episode in the first season as well. This episode had a lot of action set pieces. The crew has to do quite a bit of shooting of stormtroopers, deal with an indigenous species, and be careful of explosives that could blow at any time. There have been a few episodes this season with some action, but none as much as "The Believer". This is one of the best episodes of the season, especially since a lot of them seem like cookie-cutter episodes. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 4.5/5 S2E6: "Chapter 14: The Tragedy"Review by Dan Skip Allen In the previous episode, Din Djarin got information from Ahsoka Tano that she can't help train the child. She sends Mando and Grogu to another planet that has a Jedi Temple where he can send for a Jedi to help train him. This episode culminates in multiple storylines finally coming together. "The Tragedy" has a cryptic meaning to it. The main thing is the return of some past characters once again from earlier this season and last. Mando has reached the point where he can't help Grogu himself. He doesn't have a choice. People who were following him and Grogu are now his allies. Forces have gotten so big even Mando needs help. The return of Cara Dune means trouble for whoever is in her opposition and Din Djarins. Moff Gideon has been hot on Mando's trail ever since the end of Season One. "The Tragedy" was directed by Robert Rodriguez, who packed a lot of fighting and action into a short period. This episode was under 35 minutes. Rodriguez put quite a few things that will make fans happy in this episode. There is plenty of fan service, but this is just the beginning. Jon Favreau has done a nice job weaving in canon stuff with new stuff each episode. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 4.5/5 S2E5: "Chapter 13: The Jedi"Review by Dan Skip Allen Din Djarin and the child have been through a few different adventures through the first four episodes of the second season of The Mandalorian. They've had to get help from some old friends and met some new ones as well. The first four episodes were like the appetizer of the season and now it's time to eat the main course. Episode 5 is written and directed by Dave Feloni, the showrunner for the animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels. The title of episode five eluded to Mando running afoul of a Jedi. All the speculation is that it's Ahsoka Tano because of what Bo-Katan said in episode 3. Well, that speculation is now the truth because Din Djarin and the child come face to face with her. The most anticipated character appearing on the show this season was Ahsoka Tano and she lives up to her legend as a great Star Wars character. Rosario Dawson portrays her for the character's first-ever live-action appearance. Aside from her, this episode also delves deeper into the back-story of The Child, something that will surely get fans very excited. "The Jedi" also has some of the best cinematography and production value of any episode to date. This was a beautiful episode. This is hands down the best of the season and maybe the entire show. It will whet their appetite for the last few episodes of the season. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 5/5 S2E4: "Chapter 12: The Siege"Review by Dan Skip Allen Another episode, another adventure for Din Djarin and the Child. After trying unsuccessfully to do repairs with the help of the kid, Mando decides to head back to Navarro to get help from some old friends, Greef Garga (Carl Weathers) and Cara Dune (Gina Carano). They enlist his help with destroying an Imperial outpost still operating on Navarro. They drop the kid off at school while they're gone, leading to some comedic hijinks on that front. A few returning characters are in this episode as well. There was a lot of fan-service from the movies and previous episodes which will make fans of the show happy. The action from all of these scenes keeps the episode moving at a brisk pace. Some scenes involving the kid will make those who adore him happy as well. As far as the overall plot of the episode, it kept overarching storylines moving forward. Carl Weathers directed this episode. It was serviceable, but not the best of the season. Fans will have been expecting more. Next episode surely will bring people some much-needed delight for the season. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 3.5/5 S2E3: "Chapter 11: The Heiress"Review by Dan Skip Allen Just so we're clear, The Child hasn't been canceled... yet. Din Djarin and the kid have been through quite the journey so far this season. After killing the krayt dragon in episode one and escaping killer spiders in episode two, they have finally arrived at their destination. Their passenger finally meets her husband and gives Mando the info he needs to get in touch with Mandalorians, and he gets some unexpected help from them. The leader of the group is Bo Katan Kryze (Katee Sackoff, who also voiced the character in the Rebels animated television show). Mando gets wrapped up in a mission to steal some weapons from an Empire freighter, after which he'll get more information on the whereabouts of a Jedi. The production value, hair and makeup, and costume departments were quite busy this episode. This episode had everything in it. It tied into a plot thread from last year and will probably have repercussions later on this season as well. A few guest appearances from recognizable faces round out the supporting cast, like Titus Welliver (Bosch) and Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado (Sasha Banks), making this episode the best of the season so far. It had action galore, which makes up for a lackluster episode 2. Bryce Dallas Howard again got to direct quite an assortment of cool scenes and characters. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 5/5 S2E2: "Chapter 10: The Passenger"Review by Dan Skip Allen After a fun adventure on Tatooine where Din Djarin met Cobb Vanth, the Marshal of Mos Pelago, and killed a giant dragon, he is off looking for more Mandalorians again. He makes a deal for info about the whereabouts of more Mandalorians, but there is a catch: he has to take her and her progeny to her husband on a different planet. Of course, nothing can be as easy as taking a woman to her husband. The Mandalorian always seems to get into some kind of trouble. That's what people love about the show. Every episode is a new adventure, this one involving ice-cold temperatures and spider-like creatures. Did I ever say I hate cold weather and giant spiders? Well, I do now… Jon Favreau always seems to up the ante in the production design of the show. Each episode is unique in and of itself. This episode has some cool dogfighting and takes place on an ice planet which is the first one of those in the show so far. There is also a bit of suspense. Some familiar characters reappear, one very briefly. Two of them have more screen time than they had last season. This episode had more of The Child which people were upset about last episode. Just like a child though he gets into a little mischief, which Din Djarin has to rescue him from. All in all, it was a good episode, but the best is still to come for this show in season two. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 3/5 S2E1: "Chapter 9: The Marshal"Review by Dan Skip Allen Disney shocked the world a few years ago when it announced that it would be starting a streaming service and that they would be introducing a new Star Wars show at launch. This got people excited and subscriptions for the site went through the roof. Could the hype for the site get any more exciting? Yes!!! The first episode ran and the world was introduced to "The Child". People fell in love with the so-called "Baby Yoda". The show lived up to the hype. Plenty of news broke about directors for each episode including Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filloni, and Rick Famuyiwa. As well as guest stars: Nick Nolte, Jason Sudekis, Adam Pally, Bill Burr, and the list goes on and on. There was also a terrific cast of regulars including Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, and Werner Herzog. All great shows have great casts and guest stars. The Mandalorian is no different. Season two has much to live up to. Showrunner and creator Jon Favreau needs to up his game in the second season. New directors and guest stars have got people salivating for more of Pedro Pascal and company. Last we saw the Mandalorian and the Child, he was getting advice about returning the child back to its kind, the Jedi knights, from the Armorer. "This is the way!" she said. That's where season two picks up. Mando, Din Djarin, is looking to find another Mandalorian to help him get the child back to the Jedi knights. After a brief encounter with a shady character at a drinking hole, Mando and the child head to Tatooine where they head out on a mission to find a Mandalorian. Their mission lands in Mos Pelagos where they meet The Marshal (Timothy Olyphant). He's wearing the armor of a Mandalorian and Mando wants it back. They strike up a deal to kill a giant beast that has been threatening the town for quite a while.
The same production value, direction, acting, and score can all be found in this, the season two premiere of The Mandalorian as was found in Season one. This show picked right up where it let off with the quality. Jon Favreau spearheaded this episode as writer and director. Guest appearances from John Leguizamo, Amy Sedaris (reprising her role from the first season), and Temuera Morrison all help get season 2 off and running. It was like we never left this world even though it was nearly a year since this show ended. I'm sure everyone was glad to be back as much as fans wanted them back. The pandemic has happened since. This will hopefully help people take their minds off of everything that has been going on. It will be a nice respite from the election and so forth. "The Marshal" was a solid season two premiere. It left us with a nice cliffhanger for future episodes. Season two could really be better than season one and that's saying something. The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+. New episodes release every Friday. Rating: 4.5/5

Have problem struggle with problem use the van to fix problem. MANDALORIAN- has problem, struggles with problem Mandolorian does something cool to fix problem. Not that I don’t enjoy watching it cause come on baby yoda! Also just being in the Star Wars universe a place I personally love to be is also amazing. Just interested to see us go a bit less cut and dry I guess? 🤷🏻♀️
